In response to the COVID19 pandemic, Telehealth has now been introduced to our practice. Our practice will remain open as Telehealth and Telephone consultations only for the foreseeable future.

We believe this is an excellent alternative to face to face consultations particularly for those with chronic medical conditions.

The Teleheath program being used is Coviu (https://www.coviu.com/). Coviu is recommended by the Dietitians Association of Australia, our professional organisation, and has “end to end encryption” ensuring security and privacy.

Vivienne is able to provide home visits  within the Townsville area for no additional cost, as well as telephone and video online consultations via COVIU for patients out of Townsville.

Patients can see Vivienne with or without a referral.

​

If a patient has a standard referral, is recommended or self referred, they are not eligible to claim a rebate from Medicare, but they are able to claim a rebate from their private health insurance if they are covered.
